Preserve History. Build Skills. Shape the Future.
MobilizeGreen partners with the National Park Service (NPS) to offer the Traditional Trades Advancement Program (TTAP), an exciting internship opportunity to gain hands-on experience in historic preservation.
Launched by the NPS in 2018, TTAP equips young people with the skills needed to preserve the nation’s cultural and historic treasures. Through this immersive, 20- to 26-week program, participants work alongside professional NPS staff on real-world projects, learning traditional trade techniques like carpentry, masonry, woodcrafting, finishing, metalworking, and window restoration.
Start Your Preservation Journey
This is your chance to gain valuable skills, make a difference, and explore the beauty of America’s National Parks. TTAP prepares you for a fulfilling career in historic preservation and traditional trades while providing an unforgettable experience in some of the most iconic places in the country.
What You’ll Do
As a TTAP participant, you’ll dedicate 40 hours per week to hands-on preservation projects that leave a lasting impact. Whether it’s restoring historic landmarks, crafting intricate woodwork, or mastering traditional masonry, you’ll help safeguard America’s heritage while building skills for a lifetime.
